I also just bought this Gose hybrid thing. I haven’t tried it yet, but expectations are high

What are your feelings on cans vs. bottles? Bottles traditionally carry an aura that says “premium”, but I have heard that many brewers of smaller beers are moving to cans as a better and cheaper way to preserve the quality of their product.

Hybrid Gose? I might have to try that. Not a big drinker but I tried a Gose once and liked it a lot.

I was resistant to them for a long time, because I always associated them with crappy beer, but then I gave it a shot and I’m kind of hooked. There are a lot of breweries doing really great things with canned beer. I’ve made a habit of always buying at least one pack of cans of something every time I pick up beer.

oh... no kidding. i’m here too.
was thinking “Croydon” is not the type of place most people would get beer from.
but philly seems to be the land of craft cans.

Agreed. Also, cans are easier to put in insulated sleeves. I Like the ones with blue ice in them to keep it super cold. Most of my favorite beers are still bottle only though.

Haha, same here. I only know Croydon as that place by the Bristol Bridge.

I can definitely recommend this one, it’s pretty great. If you liked Gose, you should try Belgian sour ales. I think the easiest to find would be Duchesse de Bourgogne.

Goses are certainly an acquired taste. We’ve got a guy, Rueben’s Brews, that makes some nice ones out here. I had his cranberry gose a couple weeks ago.

Went to Neshaminy HS with the guys that started the brewery. Good guys and great beer.
